Indicators
Every style is drawn as a 32 pt glyph inside a 43 pt pill at the Standard HUD size, and each one is checked for legibility at 26 px. A signal that is only readable when magnified is not a signal.
Included with Phantom Voice#
White Wave
The default. A travelling line while it listens, and a single node gliding along a thread while it works.
Neutral enough to sit over a code editor all day without pulling your eye.
Retro Silver Fox
A crisp pixel portrait. The character stays rigid and the light carries the state, which is what keeps it readable at small sizes.
Both ship with the app. Nothing extra to buy and no separate trial.
One-time add-on styles#
Three more styles are $3 each: Retro Dog, which flicks its ears while listening and pants through a scatter of sparks while working; Real Revolver, which loads six rounds while listening then spins once and fires; and Piano Keys, which presses a short phrase while listening and sends notes up while working.
Each is a separate purchase with its own Phantom ID. Buy one, all three, or none. Phantom Voice works the same either way, and every style can be previewed at full size on the product site before you buy, which is why the add-ons have no trial.
Sizes#
The HUD comes in Small, Standard, Large and Extra Large. Standard is the reference size the animations are tuned for.
