What is BackupMonitor?#

BackupMonitor is an automated backup-monitoring service. You forward the email reports your backup software already produces to a dedicated address, and an AI reads each one to detect errors, warnings, and anomalies - alerting you the moment something is wrong.

Which backup software is compatible?#

Any system that can send an email report. That includes Veeam, Acronis, Synology, QNAP, rsync, Proxmox, and custom scripts. Because analysis works off the email itself, no specific integration is required.

How does the AI analyze my reports?#

An AI reads each report regardless of its format or language and determines whether the backup succeeded, failed, or completed with warnings, flagging anomalies along the way. Reports are checked every 5 minutes.

What happens if I stop receiving backup reports?#

BackupMonitor detects the missing report. If an expected report does not arrive on time, you are alerted - so a job that silently stopped running does not go unnoticed.

What notification channels are available?#

Alerts are delivered by email or by Pushover push notification. You control which types of alerts you want to receive.
