Overview

Hotkeys and quick controls

Mute

Cuts the microphone at the source. Use it when someone walks up to your desk and you do not want the agent hearing the conversation.

Silent mode

The agent still receives what you say, but replies come back as text only. Useful in a shared office, or when you are on a call and cannot have a second voice in the room.

Screenshots

Hit the hotkey to grab your screen. The capture rides along with your next spoken sentence, so "why does this look wrong" becomes a question your agent can actually answer. Your agent can also request a screenshot on its own when it needs to see what you see.

Push-to-talk on macOS

Opt in to the globe or fn key. Tap it to mute and unmute, or hold it to talk. This is off by default because SKI is built for always-listening use, but it is there if you prefer a hard boundary.

Custom bindings

Every control above can be bound to a key of your choice in Preferences → Hotkeys. Global hotkeys work no matter which app has focus.

If you want a review step rather than a mute switch, see Approve before send. For what the controls look like during a real session, read Your first conversation.
