Overview

R2 Copilot pricing

Individual plans#

For one user.

Plan Price Included per month
Lite $29 / month ~250 prompts · 500,000 tokens
Standard $39 / month ~500 prompts · 1,000,000 tokens
Advanced $49 / month ~1000 prompts · 2,000,000 tokens
Ultimate $99 / month ~2500 prompts · 5,000,000 tokens

An individual plan covers one person. If you run out of tokens, you either buy a new subscription or switch to a plan with more tokens and prompts. Unused tokens from the current subscription expire when it ends and do not transfer to a new one.

Enterprise plans#

For groups, with users included and add-ons priced per plan.

Plan Price Included per month Users Extra user Extra 200,000 tokens
Group $79 / month ~750 prompts · 1,500,000 tokens 3 $20 $10
Team $249 / month ~2500 prompts · 5,000,000 tokens 10 $16 $9
Business $999 / month ~12500 prompts · 25,000,000 tokens 50 $12 $7
Enterprise $2,559 / month ~33750 prompts · 67,500,000 tokens 135 $11 $6

The larger the plan, the cheaper each additional user and token block: an extra seat costs $20 on Group and $11 on Enterprise.

Enterprise plans also include the ability to purchase additional prompts, and advanced protection and chat privacy.

Monthly or annual#

Both plan families have a monthly and an annual option; the annual option is the cheaper of the two per month. Switch between them with the Monthly / Annual toggle on the pricing page.

How to read prompts and tokens#

A prompt is one exchange with the assistant. A token is the unit the language model actually counts — roughly a word fragment, in both what you send and what comes back. The plan lists both because a long document summary consumes many more tokens than a one-line rewrite, so the prompt count is an estimate at typical length and the token number is the real ceiling.

Practically: pick a plan by tokens if you work with long documents, and by prompts if you mostly write short email replies.

Which plan to start on#

  • One person trying it out. Lite, or the free trial first — see Install and first run.
  • A team of three to ten. Group or Team; the per-user price is lower than buying individual plans, and users come out of one pool.
  • A department with a security review. Business or Enterprise, and read What is stored and what is not before the review meeting — it answers what the reviewer asks.

Buying through the Microsoft marketplace#

The add-in listings show a SaaS package at $29.00 per month with a site license also available. The full plan ladder is the one above. If your procurement runs through the Microsoft marketplace, the listing identifiers are in Supported apps.

What happens when you stop paying#

The assistant stops working when the subscription ends. Nothing else has to be cleaned up: R2 does not store chat history or user-generated content, so there is no archive of conversations to delete afterwards. Data held about your account can be deleted at any time — see What is stored and what is not.
